Hello, I'm new to the board, and to turtles. We have two baby red eared sliders that we got my daughter for Christmas. While they are her pets, I know I will be the one giving the primary care, maintance, etc. I look forward to learning from those more experianced than I am!

She's 8, so she can help some, but I plan to do most of the work, right now she is in charge of their lights (turning on and off) and feeding them a couple peices of food at a time (only after checking with me) She is LOVING watching them.

There is so much great info on basic care and more othis site.

If you have any questions, there are alot of extremely knowledgable people on this site.

I wish you the best with your two baby RES'. They are sooo cute when they are babies.
I have two female red ear sliders.
Chimpy - 5.5 inches
Chompy- 6.0 inches
Both were born about 7/2007
Got them -- 9/2007
