Hi, My name is Brie, I have a 7-month baby red-eared slider named Jayden , Its a boy. I found him at V.V.C, { its a college in California} ~Brie~

I think it is too soon to tell if you really have a boy there, but he's really cute!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Cute little guy/gal (too small to tell).

What's the rest of the set-up like? It looks like the depth of the water is rather shallow. More water would be good.
