Hi there,

I'm Tara, a proud owner of a big, bossy RES named Skippy.
His shell is 6" long now, we rescued him 5 years ago and he is doing fine.
We got a new RES named Puck (since he is andro at the moment we didn't know whether to name him male or female) who is just 3" long.
They live with a giant pleco named Zamboni.

Hit me up with any info on Python cleaning systems as I was looking at getting one and also how stop a big turtle (Skip) from attacking my little one (Puck).

? #1-I don't know anything about Python cleaning systems.

? #2-I also don't know personally about getting a big turt to stop attacking a small one. I believe I read somewhere that it's hard to introduce a small turt in to a big ones already established habitat. Personally I would look at it like having a dorm room or something by yourself all year, and then having the school say "Hey your gonna have a room mate this year." Pretty big change from having a whole room to half a room. Like an invasion of privacy. But that's just how I look at it. I'm sure others will chime in w/ there comments on the matter. Good Luck

Hello welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of great info on the main site as well as in the forum, so search around.
As for your questions:
1- Pythons are wonderful. They make cleaning larger tanks a million times easier. It is the best $40 that you can spend on tank supplies, hands down.

2- There is no way to stop aggression between turtles once it starts. You need to separate your turtles ASAP, unfortunately. Otherwise the larger one WILL KILL the smaller one. RES are naturally very aggressive and usually don't do well with tank mates. In fact, if you're fond of your pleco, I'd take him out of the turtle tanks before he becomes lunch as well...
