Post Posted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 3:47 am   hello to all

we currently have 5 red eared slider turtles. 2 of them are bigger than the other 3 even though they are all the same age. we only had Batman and Robin for a couple of months before the others because they were at a family members house. they didnt quite know what to do with thm and they stayed the same lil size while batman and robin got way bigger. They are all approx. 5 months old. we feed the a mixture of different types off pellets and sticks, krill, mini shrimp, ghost shrimp, rosey red feeder fish, carrots and lettace, once they ate a banana and an orange. right now they are staying in a 10 gallon but we are purchasing a 55g soon. Robin after a month or two got and eye infection so we had to buy some vitamin a eye drops it went away three days later. these guy are tough turtles i think they might out live the oldest turtle :) hahah well we can wish.

yes for right now they are fine cause three of them are considerd illegal to sell due to size. we are in the process of trying to find a bigger tank for cheap we are looking into a 55 gallon. do any of you know of anyplaces to find cheap tanks.

You can always look on www.craigslist.com or www.ebay.com . There are always chances of your turtles fighting when they grow bigger, so you may just need 5 different set-ups. The general rule of the thumb is 10 gallons of water per inch of shell.
