Hello all. I am a new member but have had my Red Eared Slider for 8 years.

Her name is "Motorhome" - "Mo" for short. I have already gotten a lot of information on care. She is having a hard time right now which I seem to think is related to her tank being a bit small and the temperature being too low. Thank you to all who created this site and post help.

This was a pet I did not choose, my late husband was a big fan of all animals and has left her in my care now. Where I one was a skeptic, now am a fan. Of course, she has since won my heart. Wonderful creatures.

Greetings and welcome to the forum! Sliders are indeed wonderful. I never thought I could love a reptile until I met Spot and now he's the light of my life (well, one of the lights of my life.)

welcome to the forum!

I also wasn't interested in getting the turtles I now have. But after holding them and watching them, I'm now the turtle fanatic!!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I like the name. :)

A hard time? If you think the tank and temps are the problem, go bigger (tank) and warmer.
