I currently don't have any turtles but i've had some before when I was just a toddler and needless to say, they died shortly.
The more recent ones i've had however were stolen....don't fret, it was from my God forsakened niece and nephew.
Now i'm shopping for some turtles, if everything goes right i'll have an eastern and western painted by next week. Possibly a map turtle to shake things up for the 2.
