20 Years

I just realized that I've had my first turtle, a RES, for 20 years now. I got him back in 2nd grade. He's gone from a turtle island/bowl (I know, I know. They're death traps. I was 7!) to a ten, then a 20, 30, now 90 gallon tank. I'm pretty happy with his set up now. Personally I'm surprised he survived so long with the conditions I had him in before I really took an interest and began researching turtle care. I'm glad he's been part of my life. Turtley is a joy that went from the size of a quarter to about the circumference of my face. Twenty years. It just feel like, wow, you know? xD

How long have you all been turtling (I know it's not a word, but I think you'll all understand what I mean)?

Wow, 20 years... you two must have a lot of memories. Any chance Turtley is a she?

My brother told me a vet he took Turtley to said he was a "he". Was he wrong? I had been thinking he was rather big.

Though the nails a bit long and tail a bit big, I'll vote female because of the short nose and Turtley is not melanistic.

Oh man, that means both my turtles are probably female. Here I was thinking they were both male. Ah well. Learn something new every day. xD
