Went and saw but I'm a bit disappointed. No sliders what so ever. Tons of tortioses but they are not what I originally went for. I guess I should of known better since I do live in the desert! I have tons of pics and will upload later night when I get home :)

That sucks Moose. Well hopefully once you get to your first duty station you will be able to find one to attend.

It's not that "bad" that they're weren't selling them :) Looking forward to the pics!

Yes that is true Steve. I just wanted to see them up close and personal instead of always on the screen. No worries though. My daughter is head over heels inlove with Chameleons now LOL. A pair may be in our future soon :). Here is a link to the pics taken http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa37 ... po%202012/

Not the greatest quality photos but better than nothing. I got really excited when I saw the tortoises and went a little photo happy :).

I know what you mean. My almost 13 yr old son got his RES just a month and a half ago.

He's already expressed concern about caring for Toby when he goes to college.

That's years away, but I don't want to give him up.

I think in the intervening 5+ years, there will need to be another turtle.

Completely illegal to own in PA lol and also no native species allowed to be sold in PA. So reptile shows will never have them. Sucks being as their the best looking of box turtle species.

Turtles are usually less common at shows because it is harder to transport them, and many of the breeders don't go to the shows. At the NARBC show in LA that just passed, Paul V usually vends alongside of Waterland Tubs and has a large variety of hatchlings.
