So a little information about my self. I used to work for a Vet clinic for just around 4 years. I know much about animals and behaviors. Now about 5ish months or so my kid came home with a baby RES just about 1.5 inches. He said that some jacka** kids at school were kicking and stepping on the turtle and that he had to save it. When he showed me the turtle its eye was swollen shut and its shell was cracked. The turtle was not the amazing shape. I went and got a tank and have nursed it back to health. Now the turtles eye is not swollen shut and has full use. The shell is no longer cracked, I checked for any shell rot or blood poisoning. The turtle is back to 100% health minus the some green algae on the shell.
The other night my wife was up watching the turtle. The turtle was on the basking dock and she just started shaking the dock. My wife said that the turtle did this on and off for about 10 min. I told her that she was prob just scratching her rear end on the post holding the dock up but my wife said that the turtle was no were near it. She was able to video tape the turtle doing this and showed me... the turtle was on the center of the dock and was shaking the dock like she was playing. I have never seen any turtles do this before and was wondering if anybody knew what our baby turtle is doing>
