ok so looking to keep my turtles not bored and maybe less destructive. rearranging stuff last about a week. then they start moving things themselves. yesterday everything with a suction cup holding it to the wall was removed and free floating. they started this weekend while we were out of town digging up all the fake plants.

things i've tried so far, a new decor item once a month, at least sometimes more. a floating plastic golf ball. that lasted the first few days it was put in. now it's left alone. shooter marbles, they lasted till they got them so stuck in the sand they won't roll anymore. they ignore the fish. >.> and crayfish has a decent hiding spot. they can't get to her. but they know she's there. but they got bored trying to get her a week after we got the tank rearranged as it is now.

anyone else got any ideas?

turtle size is 3 tiny babies, less than 2" tank size 75gallon.

My RES enjoy digging in the sand at the bottom of their tank. I used Pool Filter Sand. It's a little be more expensive than play sand, but it's a lot easier to rinse. My one RES will spend hours digging in the sand. I put in about a 1 and a half inch layer of sand.

That's all I've given them to "play" with. They are turtles, they don't really play.

hahaha mine do the same thing. if i set it up he totaly destroys it. i have a alien skull in my tank thats about 4 in tall and 3 wide he just rolls it were ever he wants

A red Rosie feeder fish is entertaining for them too. Mine seems to enjoy chasing them.

ok i don't like laser pointers in case of a miss point. but i have a small plasma disk that i sometimes put up to the tank. scares the molly, but when i had a puffer it liked it. there are all kinds of fish in this tank already, 3 swordtails, a molly, 3 corries, a loach, a betta and a guppy. i already have a sandy bottom. and they've dug holes to the glass in several spots. there are 2 bubble wands. one on each end. they like the pry them up (verticle to almost perpendicular) and then try to climb them up (don't get far). the fish also try to out swim the bubble stream.

we tried a bath tub toy swimming nemo. that seems to keep the occupied for a short while.
