I bought some of that fake floating bamboo.
Now she acts like "Little Miss Nature Girl"
After a few attempts at eating it she got bored with trying to make it a food source.
Now she grabs it, moves it around and hides under it. As in, a chomp swim & drag to wherever she wants it, lets go and hides in it, or plays in it.
She seems to love it!
After all these years I finally found something that occupies her time
Must bring out that little wild side of her.

What does fake floating bamboo look like?

It's made to be free floating or to attach to the bottom under gravel (I adhered a suction cup but that lasted like an hour - you can see it on the bottom before I scooped it out)
You can also disconnect the pieces into individual strands, but she seems prefer the clump.
So here are a couple of pics - two free floating, and one of her self-decorated clump (the way she seems to love the most)

In the pictures, it almost looks real. It does look a lot like real bambo leaves. My turtles like to hide or float on their lettuce. Often times I'll see one of their heads peeking out from a few leaves of green leaf lettuce.

If you used black duct tape, I wouldn't even have noticed
