So me and my girlfriend recently went to the phoenix zoo and omg its HUGE. They had this HUGE HUGE HUGE lake in the middle of the zoo that went all around the zoo and had loads of ducks and fish and guess what else...HUNDREDS of red ear sliders...BIG ONES too..they were not scared one bit of people. I was thinking if i could no longer take care of my turtles that i would sneek them into the zoo and throw them in the lake there haha..they even had some river cooters and a few other weird looking turtles iv never seen before. There were a few that looked like diamondbacks but there stripes were yellow instead of white like a diamondback. Anyone got any ideas of what they may have been? But anyway it was so cool to just see literally like 200a res in any given spot of the lake. I wounder if the zoo has problems with the res breeding and laying eggs on the dirt patths and stuff

Why no pictures! Sounds very cool. I'm also very curious to see if they have breeding problems, sounds like the motherload of turtles lol

You know i didnt even think to take pictures..i was too worryed about my battery dieing on the cell till i got pics of all the big cats and stuff. I can post pictures of those tho most likely. And yeah you would figure they would have females running all over during breeding season...also in the middle of the lake they had a island with leamers on it so i wounder of they lay eggs on there..n if any baby turtles made it im sure by far that all the large ducks and geese would pick them off like crazy...i didnt see one baby turtle at all...every single turtle i seen was huge fully grown males and females. N i bet they have problems with cross breeding cuz i seen at least two or three different species in there. They had some pretty mean looking chichlids in there too that were running around in packs of like 10...i had fun feeding the fish popcorn n watching them fight for it haha...

So it had yellow skin instead of white? Or stripes were yellow instead black? Probably a map turtle of some kind
