I have a red eared slider. He is 4 or 5 years old and about 8". The last 4 days he has been splashing wildly and acting very crazy.
His water temp is 78. He is not eating well either. He bangs into his dock so badly I took it out so he wouldn't get hurt or
possibly break the tank. He is driving me crazy. Any ideas on what could be causing this? He has never done this before.

Can you confirm that you have a male? Female RES can desperately try to get out a of a tank when they are gravid (carrying eggs) and they can be gravid even if kept alone.
