I saw this in the newspaper and looked it up online.

Someone had shot a logger head sea turtle in the head with a spear gun, off Big Pine Key FL. Two vacationers noticed the injured turtle with the spear sticking out of it's head and brought it to the attention of the Coast Guard and an animal hospital in Marathon FL. The spear was successfully removed, it had narrowly missed the eyes and vitals of the head, less than half an inch in any direction and the turtle would have been killed or injured beyond rehabilitation. On Sept. 14, the turtle was released, fully healed, back into the wild to live it's life. She was named "Sara" by hospital staff, she weighs 115 pounds and is estimated to be between 15 and 18 years old. There is an ongoing investigation into who may have shot the turtle.

Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be there. Eighty are just targets. Nine are the real fighters and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Oh, but one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back. -Heraclitus of Ephesus
