Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, so feel free to move it if necessary.

I was planning on making a ATBA with that plastic "egg crate" stuff. Every time I try to cut it with scissors, however, it shatters and shoots all over my living room. Also, the edges are really jagged and uneven. Is there something better to use to cut it so the edges are more smooth?

Just get a metal file and tap down the row you want to cut. Its the easiest way . It will still go all over the room unfortunately! You can use the file to file down the sharp edges but you can mostly knock off pieces that stick out

Also just to let you know it bends when you use a blow torch so you can make different shapes.
