Yea I know it's no big deal! just felt like talking about it here.
I kinda feel bummed =(.
I witnessed my RES eat a guppie that was with him for about 7-8 months! he was about 3-4 inches long (tail included)
just kinda sad that he ate it. I freaked out and sobbed a little...
But it was their initial purpose : feeder fish =(
hmph, there are 3 other fishes still alive now.
So, a sudden change in environment will make the turtles agressive? cuz my gf took him outside while i cleaned the tank.
and yea.. after that, he started eating the smallest fish... and hes still chasing the others. kinda disturbing...

My turtle does that. Moe will swim with the fish for a few weeks then one day eat all of them.

:(

The exact reason we tell everyone not to become attached to ANYTHING in the tank.

I refuse to put fishies in the tank because it will hurt my feelings if one gets eaten! I am sure the turtles love it though!

I understand. I put a goldfish in with Rocky last October. (Before I knew goldfish were not good for them) Goldy has grown so much since then. It will be a sad day for me when Rocky finally catches her.

Once, when my turtle was about 10 years old, I had put guppies in. He ate them all except one, which hung out for 2 weeks not being eaten. My sister took pity on the fish after 2 weeks, bought it a small aquarium with all the fixens, and darn if that fish didn't live a very happy life for 3 more years.
