Both my baby res turtles are 1 inch and since I upgrade my 20 gal tank to a 55 gal tank, they spend more time swimming and idk if there basking anymore:(...... Is that alright?

Is your basking area easy for them to get on? Also your basking area should be 10 degrees more than your water temp. A lot of turtles are skittish. So it may take a while for them to check it out. You can encourage them to check it out by putting something smelly on it like tuna. Let them see you put it up there. If they go up and get it they will bring it into the water to eat it, but at least you'll know they can get on it, and they may associate the basking area with good things. Can you post a picture of it?

You need to post the pics to an online sharing site like photobucket. It's free then you copy and paste the image code in your thread. Did you put something smelly and delicious up there?

yea but nothing guessing my turtles like 2 swim now they got a big tank and my femalte turtle eats now

If they are not basking within a week your should try something else. The whole new tank may just be making them a little uneasy. Especially babies. They know they are prey. Hopefully they will adjust and get more comfortable using it. Would love to see a pic of your set up.

is it bad if they dont bask? cuz my friend turtle never bask and its still alive and looks healthy but it sheds its scales alot.

Give them a little more time to adjust, though many RES are skittish when basking. Have you taken the temperature of the basking area?
