As large as you can afford. Eventually they can grow up to 14 inches across, each. If you get them a huge tank now, you will save money later. As long as there is a dock for them to bask on, they will not drown no matter how deep the water is.

im upgrade my 20 gal tank to a 50 to 55 gal tank hopefully

go larger than a 50 or 55
its just gonna cost you more money in the end.
get at least a 125 if you can. it will save you a lot of money

only got 4feet of room so 50 to 55 gal tank is all i can get

90 gallon tank is a 4 foot tank also.

I don't think you should get the big tank yet. You might end up having to separate them and in that case you will need two 55+ (depending on their sex) tanks. You have a few years before they will be that big and to see if they have any aggression issues when they are older. If you happen to have at least one male, there is a good chance you will have to separate them. Or go ahead and separate them now.. but if they are both female, you probably wouldnt want to risk introducing them to each other later so you will need two huge tanks. Kind of a sticky situation. You almost cant just buy one tank for them because you don't know what will happen or even what sex they are for a while. I have been through 3 in 10 years. Craigslist is the way to go..affordable.. and you can sell your tank when its time to upgrade. These arent cheap pets by any means

i have a male and female res. they did the mating dance already. so i know my baby res sex

The mating dance is also a dominance dance...my two females do it when they get tank upgrades or when one is gravid
