Hmmm...I doubt it, but there is always the chance. They usually won't catch anything at that size.

I can't remember how big ghost shrimp get, but I wouldn't give them to a 1inch RES. If they're like Krill, then you should probably wait until he/she is atleast 2- 2 1/2 inches big. I started giving mine live food when she was 5inches(Krill and tried a few guppies). That's probably late, but I didn't have her until she was about 5". If your baby isn't catching/eating them or their making him/her uncomfortable, I say take them out or put them in a seperate tank/enclosure.
Hope this helped

It's probably just under the sand. As stated above, they don't eat poop.

I did. They don't eat poop. They are bottom feeders and scavengers but they do not eat fish waste.

Cory cats will help with food that falls to the bottom, but they definitely don't eat poop. I have 3 of then in my tank, entertaining to watch, but there its no magical way to get rid of turtle poo.

Ya, fish don't eat poo. The on't thing that I have ever had eat poo in one of my fish tanks was some Ghost Shrimp. The corys probably just buried it or something.
