Other Turtle Discussion :: Moving from Alaska to California

I am going to be moving from Alaska to California in a month. I was wondering if it is safer to take my three RES turtles with me on the trip (6 days) or to ship them through UPS? Does anyone here have any experience transporting their turtles in a car for such a long trip, or any experience shipping turtles through UPS? Also, does anyone know what are the regulations for transporting RES through Canada?

I would take them with me. I would rehydrate them 2 or 3 times a day to let them drink and eat but they should do OK. I'll ask someone if they know about the other part of your question...
