Sorry I had a hard time getting the pics on there, but thanks I received an e-mail yesterday also advising he/she was a river cooter. I found him/her in the middle of a high traffic street and have no idea where he/she could have come from so I brought him home and am so happy I did. I had no idea they had such personalities, everyday he/she does something that makes me laugh. I get him/her used to me slowly putting my hand in there with him/her and now he/she seems to like when I rub the back of his/her head, when I do he/she stretches the head as far as he/she can while I rub it, too funny. At this time I have Lucky in a 20 gallon long aquarium which I figured would be alright because he/she is still very little. Any advise of habitat, diet, etc of these wonderful creatures would be greatly appreciated. Also I was wondering if they prefer to be alone or have a buddy, I didn't want to put another turtle in there and they not get along. Thanks, Chantel

Also here is another couple of pics of Lucky

Their care is essentially the same as RES. You'll also want to keep this one alone, though your cooter probably won't be aggressive as most RES.
