Well i bought a res in late october, and i've noticed that the red spot is missing. So is it a res? or what kind of turtle it is?

You are correct in thinking you fdo not have a res, that would be probably be a cooter but an overall picture would help to make better confirmation that it is that. Though it still remains it is not a red eared slider.

Ok, so its not a red eared slider but a cooter. Is it ok to keep Satan (this here cooter) with Sennila (my other res that's 1year old) in the same tank? They really get along so far and I hadn't got any problems.

My River Cooter did great with my 4 other res when i had her. I think cooters get WAY huge tho.

As long as the two get along fine, its ok to leave them together. Like was mentioned above, cooters do get larger then RES, so be prepared to need a pretty large tank for when the 2 get bigger.

ok guys thanks alot. Now i keep them in a 80L tank. I hope this will last a while because i don't have too much space in our apartment, but i'll figure it out.

Yea its a river cooter like i said, head markings give it away, and like everyone said houseing it with a res is fine as long as they get along.

can you give me some info about what do they eat and anything else because i couldn't find much on google only that they are herbivorus but Satan eats meat and has a huge apatite over it.

Hey, I don't really know much about river cooters, but I did read they eat mostly greens. Have you tried offering veggies? You should offer as much as possible until he gets used to them. Too much protein is probably not good for them, but don't quote me on that.

By the way, I see you're from Satu Mare, my husband is from Baia Mare, it's beautiful over there =)

my river cooter loved veggies she would eat that more then anything. I also noticed she did not like feeder fish much at all.

You follow the exact same care posted here for red eared sliders. Most common aquatic turtles follow the same care as red eared sliders
