Happy New Year

Chomp and I want to wish everyone a 2011 filled with promise. And I also want to thank this wonderful site for all the help we have received here. I was a person who didn't know enough about the care of RES .... all I knew was that a young relative had a turt that was not being cared for properly and was not going to survive. I have received the help I needed here. I have been VERY short on $$ for the past few years (hope that changes soon!), but that was not an obstacle to me getting the knowledge I needed here.
As a result I have a little tropical paradise in my living room, and a little green monster with an amazing personality. Chomp delights everyone who meets him. It's cold outside and the daylight hours are short, but about 6pm this past Sunday, I just sat for awhile watching him bask....occasionally he would stretch out his little feet; it was like he was saying "Aaaahh, this feels good!"
