Considering getting rid of a turtle

I'm considering getting rid of my bigger turtle, and I'm not sure how I should go about doing it. Should I try to give it to a friend or maybe ask the pet store if they want to take it back so they can find it a new owner? My turtles sizes are pretty different so they don't get along that great, my little one kind of gets bossed around a lot and I also think it would be easier just taking care of the small one. My bigger turtle is also very aggressive, it tries biting me if I hold it and hisses, and also bites itself or my other turtle when freaking out. I thought they were cuddling before but I found it it's just turtle instinct to climb on top of eachother to get closer to the basking light.

Hey, please remember that your smaller turtle will get large too. They hiss and try to bite because they're scared. Try to find a local rescue or somebody else that has the means and space to take care of it. I wouldn't really give it to the petstore, they don't exactly take very good care of their pets. Also, you're right, you should never house 2 turtles of significantly different size together.

Went to the pet store today and they said they won't take it back, even if just give it to them for nothing, so asking friends and stuff right now.

Ask friends and family, offer them your supplies and to help them get it setup. You can provide some care tips and support when needed.
