what type of turtle is this? i cant figure it out

Could be a midland painted, but the shell doesn't look like it's in great shape and I've never seen nails like that.

Well its a painted of some kind, what the underside of the shell coloring like?

the nails are painted! & i think the bottom of the shell is yellow but i cant remeber where i found the picture so i cant go back and check

I think its some type of painted turtle, but never seen nails like that, agree i think some put nail polish on the claws..

couldnt the chemicals mess it up? i was kinda shock too when i saw it!

The body looks too small for the shell (which is itself misshapen). Possibly some metabolic bone disease going on there. If the plastron is yellow, it's too bad the head isn't extended more. Maybe it's my imagination, but I'm thinking there's a bit of a yellow blotch behind the eye, which would make me think Eastern painted.

How could anybody been so stupid and cruel to paint the nails like that???? I'm seeing two rear nails that are painted as well.

yeah, for all i know its photoshopped... i just saw it and couldnt identify the turtle. but i was think eastern painted too,
also the picture is messed up i was fixing the name and it deleted i guess....
