So I put a Mirror is my Turtle tank and the first thing to go crazy was my Jack Dempsey lol he did not like the mirror one bit and just sits there going after his reflection haha! I cant wait for him to get HUGE and watch him battle it out with a turtle lol

I have not seen the turtles pay much attention to it yet but im sure they will later. im just going to let it sit in the tank

I posted a similar post a few years back when I noted that when I drew on my tank with a dry erase marker, my turtle spent hours trying to munch on it. Steve recommended that, while it is entertaining for a few minutes, it should be removed so the turtle doesn't do any harm to itself.

So, for mirrors, I would say that a few minutes is okay, but then you should take it out. Just like betas ...

lol My littler turtle saw his reflection in the bottom of my tank once and he kept snapping at it and scaring himself lol it was the cutest thing ever. hed swim down and snap and as soon as he did hed scare himself and tuck his head in..... but he just kept doing it over and over. lol It was so adorable!

Man I just thought of how cute it would be if the turtle fluttered at his own reflection...
