I took all 4 out at the same time for a walk on the lawn.
I have never had any trouble finding them but this was a nightmare
i looked for him 3 days straight even through both my neighbours propertys.
He has gone or so i thought,
i gave up and hoped for someone to find him.
3 months later my mother had some family friends over.
this was the day before christmas (summer in NZ) and i looked out the window and a lady was peaking through the fence with something in her hand.
i went outside to speak to her, she asked me if i own any turtles. i said yeah i do ?!
then she replied Well yeah um is this your one i found it on the side of the STREET??
I looked down and the sneaky lil bugger almost had a grin.
I was wrapped to put him back in the tank with the others and his brother wouldnt leave him alone for 3 days.
I had the smallest feeling that he hibernated in the ground, he was FILTHY.
He is now at his highest of health and still decides to bask at 3 o'clock in the morning in the dark
