Golden threads are a lighter green coloration where reeves get a browner hue,
I think golden threads will bask more and can accept deeper waters than a reeves. Golden threads are said to be peaceful and a great community tank addition. I think they definitely look cooler, the black v on top of the head, the defined lines of green and yellow, a beautiful turtle. I have heard the reeves do not swim well and dont like deep water but I just cant see any aquatic turtle being drowned in any stock tank or aquarium simply because it was too deep, unless injured or sick or something is holding it down. But either way, many care sheets say don't fill the tank over 8 to 10 inches. Thats gonna be a Bi*** to filter
