I think a pirate theme would be cool! You should look an Amazon.. they have all sorts of cool stuff. I guess the theme would have to depend on how destructive your turtles are lol

A lot of it depends on how destructive your turtles are. I tried to do a natural-looking bog/swamp theme with real lily pads and different plants and a driftwood basking dock.. no go. The turtle shredded the greens until it looked like I dumped a salad in the tank (he then proceeded to eat them), dug the seed ball things out of the sand, and even bit apart the wood. He would sink to the bottom with his feet on the sand, and then go nuts swimming to the top and sand would fly everywhere. I really think he did it to keep himself occupied.

That said, your turtle may be more tame. Perhaps a more docile species like spotted turtles or a chilled out painted will be better.

Currently, I have rocks on the bottom and a regular basking dock
