Two days ago I was feeding my two hatchling YBS and I noticed one of them was fluttering at his/her food. I'm not sure that this behavior is even normal when they are this small. I have not seen him/her doing it towards my other baby turtle. They do eat separate, when they've eaten together I haven't seen this happen. Its happened twice now when I feed him/her and I happened to get video of it tonight because he/she was chasing my finger on the glass of their tank. I'm not sure if I should be concerned. I have not seen this behavior between the two of them. They sun together, they sleep together. I really don't want to separate them for this because they seem to be so close. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas what this is or why it's happening?

Here's the like to the youtube video. http://youtu.be/4--ys2IPTOo

It's normal fluttering, nothing to worry about.

oh you ment swimming frantic.. That's mild compared to what my map turtle does. Sometimes his front feet are out of the water splashing real loud. First time I heard it I thought something was wrong so I ran into their room only to see my map playing like the little clown he is. Steve is right its normal.

Oh no I hope he/she doesn't start that splashing swimming! My cats are already too interested in these little guys, I'm sure that would make them all the more enticing! Thanks for info guys!! :)
