Im not sure if my ybs is male or female . I thought she was a female but her nails started getting long and her underside is a bit concave.

Can you get us a picture of the tail extended? That is the most accurate to sex a turtle. Nails can be i a litte misleading sometimes.

With a tail like that she has to be female. Regardless of her nails.

Like some other turts have a very round shell and my turts scales are very pronounced. The shell imbetween the scales seemed to be shedding too , which make the scales very pronounced

Looks to be slight pyramiding/retained scutes or both.

Yeah , I got her a while back and I was small then and I UST have given her too much food. I was also only giving her shrimp which was of no nutritional value to her

Well, from what I read, shrimp provides lots of protein. Turtle needs protein. However, too much protein leads to pyramiding, etc. And usually turtles like the smell and taste of shrimp. Hence, shrimp should be regarded as a treat.

PS: the poop after a shrimp treat makes the water rather smelly...

Yeah I put my cuttlebone in them to get some dust on it so she would' be interested , and yeah my turt has a bit of piramiding
