Other Turtle Discussion :: How many members on this site?

How many members and or people are on this site? The reason I ask is becauseit would seam. That its allways the same 3 or 4 people they respond to my questions?

There are thousands who registered, but people come and go. That's the nature of forums. We're definitely smaller (activity-wise) than we were at this forum's peak... but I think most smaller turtle forums have taken hits recently. We still get a decent amount of new members, but they don't stick around as they used to

Can I just say though I also go on Turtle Forum but I keep coming back here because this website is technicilogically better and easier. Plus I know I get answers super fast from Steve or velpa(?). Navigation through the site is wonderful and my map turtle's care is similar so I can still stay here. But I do wish I could talk and ask more here about my other breeds.
Steve, do you work with Turtle Forum? Can we open this forum to other breeds discussions since I see many of us care more other breeds too?

Well, I know we can give very good RES care info. I would be concerned that other turtle owners might not get the same fast response, which could put their turtle in jeopardy. However, feel free to post about your other turtles, we definitely like to read and discuss about them.

Many on here keep other species and are members of other forums though I don't work with any other site. I have my own vision of how this site should look and work...

I have a map turtle as well. He's about 4 years old. How old is your map?

Vet said he actually couldn't tell for sure but at least 5 more like 6/7 yrs. She is 6.5 SCL as of today, finally got the tape measure out.
Steve, can you add a other breed talk category? .... my map is in same tank as my res so have questions about their together care. Not sure where to post those though. Love reading from newer members. Welcome Hammerstix!

You can post in "Other turtle discussion " I have a Mississippi and a RES together.

Maps and RES are very similar, except for size.
