ummm do you know how big those babies get a snapper is a huge turtle and your gonna need a pond for it when it grows full grown. If you can handle that kind of space and budget check out theturtlesource.com they have the common snapper there. The turtleshack [not reputable].com also sells them. Good luck with that big turtle.

The Alligator Snapping Turtle is a threatened species. You may have trouble finding a breeder commercially. You may also want to check with local laws. Since it is a threatened species, it may not be legal in your area to own one.

Alligator Snapping Turtles are pretty active as babies, but once they get big they are pretty boring. Alligator Snapping Turtles can live over 100 years, so make sure your kids or future kids are willing to take on the responsibility. :)

Yeah iv had a few snappers and they are more work then they are worth. for one, they can literally climb a Fense and are hard to keep where you want them to stay, second they can bite a hand off when there big, not a finger like everyone thinks lol they can take off limbs...3rd they eat alot and are hard to interact with when needing to move them from place to place.

They are cool turtles but not as much fun to have once there HUGE.
