My RES Is A 3 years 2 months old Male. Recently i have noticed him showing his sexual organ [This is not regular or continual behavior, just a couple of times] & I'm wondering if this is the usual age for such behavior?

Also, what if i introduced him to a female for mating? what should be the age and size of her?

I'm really worried that if i introduce another turtle, he/she may hurt or attack him, since he is the most non-aggressive lil turtle

Even if he's not aggressive now, it can change very quickly. Males and females aren't usually aggressive in the first couple of years, so that's not a reliable indicator.

He's just fanning -- checking himself out. It's best to leave him without a mate.

Agreed, dont add another in. I have the most gentle res gets along great with my other speices of turtles I have. Easy to handle, never hisses or bites. As soon as another res is put into the picture with him. He becomes super aggressive towards the res and bites non stop. It forced my to part with the other res.

Yep he will be just fine.
