I just wanted to share a fun little story from the other day.

As I walked into my living room (where my aquarium is), I noticed Filbert under his heater, wiggling around. My first thought was "OMG, he's being electrocuted" and I had a slight freak out. Filbert swam over to greet me and seemed fine. I sat down on my couch (which faces the tank) and watched Filbert for a bit longer. He was getting under his heater to use the suction cup bracket to scratch his shell! It appeared that Filbert rather enjoyed it, he kept scratching his itch for about half an hour!

Mine has adjusted all of the driftwood (by digging under or alongside) so that he can have back scratch spots.

Mine uses the Ancistrus fish she has in her tank as her personal back-scratcher. All she has to do is swim up to him, wait a bit, then he'll start cleaning her shell.
