It looks like you have a nice tropical/island theme starting up. Please do something about putting that tank on an appropriate stand. Everything is looking real good, but it's very dangerous putting it on like that.

Ya know, I have no themes to my turtle tanks. I have a theme to my snake's cage (natural jungle, lol), but no themes to my turtles.

Well, Sadie's tank has seashells and rocks from the beach, so, it's kind of an ocean theme...

Dinosaur theme? I've seen a lot of dinosaur stuff in stores lately, and with a dino backdrop, it'd be cute

You have to support the tank along the entire bottom. That's just physics.

I have a T-Rex skull decoration inside my tank, but I'm going to eventually get the gila monster, shark jaws, and steer skull. Generic fossil graveyard, although not geographically possible!

Where do you guys get your decorations? I don't have much selection here.. I am going to try Amazon. I love the tiki theme! I am going to do a theme some time.. if I ever get the ATBA built. I might have to steal your tiki theme... I have a huge palm tree that Rainia is obsessed with.

We relied on local pet stores who specialized in their trade (ie quality local fish stores) and hired knowledgable people. Today the stores have to compete with online sales, so the level of knowledge in most any given local fish store has decreased as has the quality and diversity of locally available products. Knowlege of filters and brands was word of mouth or talked about in local fish clubs because there wasn't an internet to share opinions in mass.

Not sure if its a good or bad thing..but being in WV I am glad that I can order stuff since I don't have a lot of options around here! We have one Petsmart half an hour away (that I use to groom dogs at) and two local shops. One shop is close to my house but the workers are always stoned and the tanks are always nasty. We saw about 15 dead frogs in the bottom of the tank (one was alive..I wanted to buy it and rescue it but I didnt want him to buy more!). The other place is AWESOME. They know everything there is to know..but its about 20 minutes out of the way and their prices are very high (which I dont mind paying when I have the money because I want to support them)

Themed as your favorite show or music artist ect.
A living room
Turtle themed (like fake cute turtles everywhere)
China themed

Common themes:
Rainforest
Pond themed
Amazon themed
