filbert has been stuck in a 20 gallon aquarium for the first year and a half that i've had him. (i know, smite me now.) it's been mainly due to a lack of fund for a new aquarium. and i lived in a very small apartment. so for christmas this year, my dad is buying me a 50/55 gallon tank, with a stand. i know that this isn't the most ideal tank for the long-run. but for now, and for financial reasons, it is going to work. (filbert was bought at an illegal length, about the size of a quarter/half dollar. and now he's only about 2.5/3 inches.)
i'm just so excited that i finally found one second-hand that is close enough to pick up. my dad was so wonderful that he was willing to buy me a NEW tank and stand for christmas. but there was no way that i could ask him to do that!
(i can't believe that i'm this excited over getting a new tank!)
