i re-homed my 2 little RES'd locally and decided to go with 3 southern painted turtles (2) for me and (1) for the gf. as they arrived..

I ended up switching because I wanted turtles that grow no so big as the RES'ers and have a couple w/o having a tank size issue.
(currently have a 150g) some pics below









(the 3rd aquaclear 110 should be working by the end of the week, awaiting extension pipes in the mail and a new motor/propeller and a tank glass spacer )

MAKE A BASKING AREA, TURTLES NEED TO DRY THEIR SHELLS, and they like to pile up each other

Cute little turtles. And yes if you don't already have a basking area in the tank, add one.

i'll try to make a long story short, i had a large turtledock, then it started to fall apart and the clay underneith coming apart. so i ordered the ebay plexiglass ones, well they shipped me a medium turtledock, i just sent it back and awaiting the plexiglass one in the mail. and over the weekend i went to the pet store and picked up the plastic lili pad from pet smart for the meantime. now running all 3 of the aqua clear 110's..

Very Cute....glad to see someone who is ready for their turtles to grow up now instead of hoping to get an upgrade in the future.
