Apparently both of these turtles are from Asia...there's no word on their long-term survival but I imagine it can't be good, even in captivity. It kind of makes me sad to see them. The one on the left was named Takara, by the way. Supposedly they wound up this way due to pollution; if that's true, it's sad to think what we people do to other creatures, even unintentionally.

The local aquarium specialty store has one. (Just for display, not for sale.)
