im so amazed at how differnt two turtles can be from eachother..
speedy loves to swim and we've only caught him bask once today i dont know how long as we had just come home and caught him up there, but he likes to float next to the dock with his head out in the light.
meanwhile, Tuck LOVES basking hes constantly on the dock basking.. Tuck also loves to eat, he seems to eat more then speedy and speedy is bigger!

they also like to play in the rocks and flip them over.

lol my turtles are the opposite of each other. but its like their family and care for each other.

i had a underwater rock that had an opening in it and one day my small female turtle got stuck in there. before when it was young it used to fit in there and it used to love it. now it outgrew it sadly.

anyway it got stuck in there once and when i came and i saw her stuck i saw my big turtle put its nose under the smaller turtle and moved its head upwards and the smaller turtle popped out. a few minutes later, i saw a big rock right where she got stuck in.

smart little things. they can do almost anything

I only have one RES, but she has quite the personality! It amazes me how much their personalities vary from one RES to the next. Charlotte loves to flutter at her reflection for hours and will eat anything and everything. When she basks, she goes into her "superman pose" and when she sleeps she rests her head on her basking dock and stretches her arms out over her head. I can't believe how strong she is too. She's only 2" but she can move big heavy rocks with ease.

yeah speedy moves rocks too that are half the size of him.... and he loves to bite at things, look at his refection and swim as fast as he can into the glass like hes trying to break through it or someething... and he goes on the ramp of his floatin dock but not out of the water completly... (i've only had them for 2 days now so im hoping that changes)

and tuck sits on the dock sprawled out with his legs straight back and his front lets tucked in

Mine are very different as well. Like all animals and humans turtles have a ton of individuality to boot.

Hurricane will bask for hours on end, and Typhoon basks a lot but not as much. Ty is very tolerant of handling, Cane is pickier about who gets to pet him/her. Ty is more interested in looking at and examining new people. Cane just expects all humans to give him/her food.

Cane is very hyper, Ty much calmer. Cane likes to move things around and bite them. Ty likes to stare and objects and poke them with her feet. Ty also likes more privacy than Cane, but if Ty lived by herself she'd probably have a nervous breakdown. Cane just recently started getting that attachment thing, but he/she would be able to handle just about any living condition.

I'd boast about Sadie but she only been at my house for a couple hours. I haven't gotten to know her much. She's sleeping right now.

Yeah i can def tell that all 5 of my turtles have different personalitys. Some like to run, some like to see whats going on, and some just plain out dont care what your doing as long as they get to sit under a light :D
