I bought an aquatic water lilly seed thing from walmart in their pet section.
I was wondering if I need to have sand or large rocks in my aquarium in order for it to grow.

No directions came with it? Pond lilies are rooted in substrate (the mud at the bottom) and I would think yours would need some kind of medium to grow in as well.

it will need something to grow its roots in. and if ur trying to grow it with ur turtle u might as well give up now. the turtle willeat it right awya

I know what your talking about. I bought some for my 55 gallon livebearer tank a while back. I put mine in the gravel and they grew fine.
