Yeah, is your turtle constantly trying to go through small spaces? Mine tries to go through suction cup railings, the heater and tank, filter intake and tank and any other places that they seem to think they can go through. They constantly try to go through even though they tried it 3-4 times that same day already.

lol Mine does the same thing once in awhile and I'm not quite sure why. But it is kind of funny to watch. :D Just make sure your turtle doesn't somehow get stuck in something though.

Mine did that when I first got them but after a while i guess they figured out that its impossible...I have not seen them try in quite a long time. My 2 Larger turtles never tryed since I had them .. I think there smart enough to know thre WAY to big to fit in that small area...

Most of my turtles do the same thing. They do it to scratch their shell. My adults will lodge themselves under large artificial stones and rock from side to side for hours at a time.

Mine made a hobby out of rubbing themselves on rocks, moving them around the tank in the process, unsticking the suction cups from the floating dock by wedging themselves in between the bars, and even the suction cups from the filter in/out tubes.

Same here. All three of my RESs love to wedge wherever they can. Sometimes it's very annoying resetting the suction cups and straightening the heater ALL the time. All three would cling on to the heater to sleep when they were just hatchlings. Over the months, they have stopped.

IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. You see how healty, happy and magical they are. Turtle tanks are beautiful additions to any home.

It's strange that turtles do that though but I guess they'll learn over time that they won't fit!
