Other Turtle Discussion :: Belize slider + turtle source purchase = worried

hello all, so ive narrowed down my choices of either getting a
pastel RES
High colored chicken turtle
Painted
or a Belize slider that i have recently fell in love with lol any suggestions.

OH! And look out in the photo gallery soon for new pictures of Buster and Eugene (let me know if you see anything wrong) and two new RES that I would love to say that I rescued from the dollar store Tank and Pebbles!
I really could of choked that lady at the counter the way she threw them from underneath the cashregister and threw them on the counter they were the only ones left so i had to take them. anyways lol back to my original reason for the post let me know!

I will be purchasing them from turtlesource [not reputable] and so if you have experience with purchasing from that sight please let me know bcuz I am pretty skeptical, Thank You!!!

Ive always read that turtlesource [not reputable] is bad but I myself would order from there. I really have not herd ANYTHING about ANY online turtle ordering sites on this forum that says they ship good turtles.

turtlesource [not reputable] is quite reliable compared to most of the other online stores. Go for it. Its pretty good i think too. check out turtlelover09 on youtube. He got all his 5 turtles from there. All were pretty healthy.

Well let me eliminate a turtle for you.

High colored chicken turtle isnt happening. Thats been sold out since the site opened It was posted for a week maybe. Ive been waiting for them post any of there high colored turtles for over a year+ now. I check there website daily.

Otherwise turtlesource [not reputable] is a great company

I got one of my painteds a year ago with them, I had a good experience. Based on what I know about online purchasing of turtles, they are up there as far as reliability and quality.

All I can say about turtlesource [not reputable] is that I haven't heard anything bad.

Painteds are a very popular choice, easy to care for, don't get as big asa regular RES. Pastel RES are beautiful, but I have heard they are prone to health problems. That does not mean a pastel will be doomed to be unhealthy, it's all about the care you give it. I don't know anything about chicken turtles. Belize sliders are very sweet, but females grow to 17 inches max. Very big animals. But having a more tropical kind of aquatic turtle can be a fun challenge.
