I did some browsing on some sites and this is one i liked

Ever wished you could dispense granular or flake foods without putting your fingers in the container? If so, this tip is just the thing for you.

The next time you visit a department store, pick up a pair of inexpensive plastic salt and pepper shakers - the kind with a snap lid. The shaker will allow you to easily shake the food into the tank, after which it may be tightly sealed to preserve the freshness, a real plus during the humid times of the year.

Furthermore, you won't risk accidentally dumping too much food in the tank because you tried to shake the flakes out of the wide open container

(Ofc you can enlarge the holes to work for larger foods)

I like that one Sir Max. I`ve noticed though that recently some fish foods come with a special lid that lets you do exactly that. I have one and it`s very useful.

Here's the canister filter I built. I'm still using it.

There are lots of DIY projects on this website! They just aren't under a DIY thread. Check out various basking areas (many people on here have had to build their own since big turtles = no commercially available basking area) or filters. Generally, they are found in the Pictures section or the Habitat Indoor/Outdoor sections. You can always search ATBA and if you want a step-by-step guide on building a stock tank habitat, search for TheBean's post.
