I believe so. I did some changes to his set up tho. When I first set it up i had timothy hay and alfalfa pellets for the subtrate but he was hiding in it and it scared me with the heat lamp. So I used a mix of play sand an coconut fiber. And he now seems to be more active and what not. I read that the first year you get your tortoise that you shouldnt have them hibernate cause you dont know their past medical history, so next October I will have him hibernate. So do you think theres anything i need to change about his set up? I have been giving him some leafy green and some apples and bananas but he just gets them all gross with going from the subtrate to laying in the water bowl and then sitting on top of his food so now im just giving him tortoise pellets. What do you meen by settled in.?
