Stoli likes to attack my finger. He always tries to bite off parts of my finger, but I have calluses and he is too tiny. It actually sort of hurts, but he can’t break the skin. Leaves a tiny triangle imprint though hahaha

hahahaha yeah this isn't going to be something that can continue. it's funny for right now though. i go to pick him up so i can change the water and he just bites at me. i sit next to their bin and he bites at me. he blows bubbles in the water and then bites them. he's just a biter or something lol. when they get a bit bigger, i'm gonna get tweezers or something to feed them with

Unfortunately they don't grow out of it.

I'd be careful of using tweezers, just in case you drop it in the water, or he jabs himself with it - they aren't picky as to what they nom-nom on!

Sylvia bit my finger real good a couple of years ago - my fault, and didn't even see it coming- and I screamed bloody murder...it hurt REALLY REALLY bad. I think she put all her 6 lbs behind it. oy!

One time while installing a power head filter, I let my hand dangle over the aquarium. I thought I had an eye on all 4 of my res, but one surprised me by biting my finger. She was a decent size turtle, 8" long. Surprisingly it didn't hurt. She quickly let go when she realize it was my finger.

hahaha that's good. I hope mine eventually learn that my finger is not prey. I'm not really sure why Stoli does this. My other tiny turtle doesn't do this. It knows that my finger is not food. But I sort of think Stoli does this cos it thinks it can kill my invading hand.

Mine latched on this morning and then began to pull back using her feet! Guess I need to stop hand-feeding?
But this way, I can see EXACTLY how much she's eating. (everything, LOL)

P.S. I always enjoy the pics that you post...So close-up and clear!
