He's very tiny and cute

You should try to take clearer pics, they grow up pretty quickly and I missed the opportunity to take a lot of photos when my RES were hatchlings.
You'll also need to get a UVB light and remove the gravel soon.

UVB bulb? Is that like a special bulb for heatlamps? Im not sure what his is but..... ill look

As far as sand goes what type/ brand is best? And were can i get it? I also hate gravel and wish i never bought it. But i think it still looks better than a glass boottom. How hard is sand to clean???

UVB is what they need to help metabolize their calcium and other vitamins. Without it they will get metabolic bone disease, soft shell and shell rot and will die. I favor the bare bottom tank but I never used sand before, Some people never clean it but I don't really know much about it.

i never used sand, and i agree i dont like a bare bottom either so i used river rock and put that on the bottom. as long as the rock is too big for them to eat they can have it in there

Your turtle is still really small, I think it's smaller than mine, but yours already caught a fish. Mine can't seem to catch up with the guppies.

I use rosey reds. But i guess 10 rosey reds in a 10 gallon tank with a baby turt isnt so difficult.
