Looks like you are hiding a filter or something under the basking area?
I truly love your setup,but i would remove afew more bricks,and some of them looks sharp and rough.
The fact that there are plants in the area makes it look really colourful and natural.

THANK YOU everyone who have posted constructive comments regarding my set up.
All points noted and rectifications are on the way. I am removing the stones/bricks and building a sand pit on the extreme left of the tank. Will show photo whentank is ready .
My tank is only 4 ft X 3 ft.
The cyclinder pump filter is hidden behind the tank and covered with plants and pots.
I have a total of 8 RES, The smallest is about 4 inches and the largest about 6 inches.
I have a serious problem with my filter. The turtles seem to be extremly dirty and my inlet point at the pump is always clogged with faces,dead cells and small leaves, thus reducing dramatically my volume of water from the discharge hose. Any solutions, Bros

you should put a pre-filter on your pump, you also probably need a stronger pump, i aslo think the whole thing needs to be expanded for more swimming room, maybe a 300 gallon stock tank or use a liner and design your own?

Or maybe give away some of the bigger ones. When I bought them there were babies and more than enough swimming space and room. How sad?

Aiyo.yo. When I renovated my tank with sand pit, my Rhena cyclinder pump gave up on me
I was happy everything was done accordingly, but when I activated the pump(after servicing, meaning cleaning all the various boxes of filter wool, stones and activated carbon), the motor did not start. I checked all the fuses and connections and found that the rotating magnet has gone back to Germany.
If I cannot get the spare parts, I may have to change to another brand of cyclinder pump filter. Any economical suggestions?
Anyway, it has done 7 years 24 hours service without rest.Temporily using a submissable pump with a home made filter.

Went out today on a hot sunny day and bought myself a 'Made In China" pump.
Hope it will work.

I think you're having trouble keeping the water clean because you have too many turtles in such a small tank/pond. There is not enough water to disperse the feces. You need more water.

First a picture of my renovated pond...more space to swim with a confortable sand bar for basking.

No possibility of extending the pond because of space constraint. Too many plants. Solution is to give away some terra for adoption.
Increasing ater level will mean flooding the beach
BTW, please do not buy Chinese pumps and filter. My screw lock to prevent water from coming out of the discharge hose cracked when I tried to exert too much pressure to stop the leak. Got to use bonding material to seal the crack/leak.
The overall structure of the design was flimsy and weak. If I can use it for 6 months, I would change it for a Rena anytime.
