I'll have to apologize for any pictures of me in these shots! I was trying to take a couple of newer pics of Guiseppe since there seems to be a DBT fest going on that I just have to be a part of! The little bugger bit my finger too while taking the shots.

This is my new dog, Hershy. I made the "mistake" :D of walking by the adoption center at Petsmart. I got her from the Lexington Humane Society the 20th.

I thought 2.25" was about normal for his/her age. Grew really quickly at first, but now has slowed down to a crawl. Pretty normal for most hatchling species. I think he's in a competition to see who can stay the smallest turtle/tortoise. Aristotle (leopard tortoise) is about the same size and rate of growth so far. He's going to get heavier competition for that soon, though. I plan on getting a couple of E.sub hatchlings.

Your new puppy looks so cute!! What breed is she?

My husband won't let me out of the house on Saturdays because of all the pet adoptions that get set up around our neighborhood stores.

The Humane society said she was a Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix. She looks and acts like a lab to me. They said she was already about a year old also. She's a little thin, and it looks like I am going to have fun trying to break all of the bad habits the previous owners let her get by with. I also have to fix my fence. My other little dog (Chihuahua mix) doesn't try to get out of the fenced in area.

Yeah, the pet adoption places are dangerous territories on the weekends around here also. Especially if you are sort of looking into getting another pet!
