I wish I could get more pictures of him swimming but it's nearly impossible... he moves sooooo much (duh!). But anyway, I was happy with this one b/c you're right you can see his red color. That's really how he looks.

Very good picture, I can never get my turtles pictures, eaither they move too much or my camera is not cooperating and can't focus fast enough >_<

You should throw that in photoshop and make it where on the red streek and the green of his eyes show up in color, everything else leave black and whites, it'd look cool

to turtlelover: yes, he's shedding. He's been shedding for quite a while now. I think he pretty much never shed before so he has a ton of scutes on top of one another, his shell just keeps getting better and better with time. The people who had him before me had him in a 10 gallon tank for 3 yrs. with dirty water, no filter, no dock, no light... no nothing. And they only fed him pellets. Tomi is living like a king now.
